Product Description

Welan Gum is a soluble exopolysaccharide produced by aerobic fermentation of carbohydrate by alcaligenes. It is a heteropolysaccharide composed of glucose, mannitol, rhamnoose and glucuronic acid. It can be used as thickening agent, suspension agent and heat stabilizer, showing excellent pseudoplastic fluid with outstanding high temperature resistance.

Function

( 1 ) Can be dissolved in cold water, and has a regulaand stable structure in an aqueous solution to form ahigh-viscosity solution.
( 2 ) Good compatibility with other hydrosol.( 3 ) Excellent water retention.
( 4 ) High viscosity under low shear and low viscosityat high shear.
( 5 ) Have good suspending ability at stagnate.( 6 ) Compared with xanthan gum, the range of ap-plicable PH values is wider, especially the lower PHvalue.
 

Application

(1) It can increase the viscosity of concrete in theprocess of mixing and transporting,make con-.crete more uniform.It's also a retarder forlarge-scale concrete pouring.Prevent solidifica-tion during transportation to avoid vehicledamage.

(2) The application of the petroleum drilling in-dustry:Compared with xanthan gum,it have betterrheological characteristic and pseudoplastic.It canmake the inner pressure of drill pipe lower,it havebetter property of tolerance temperature andacid resistance than xanthan gum.
